Beskrivning

This course is an introduction to the field of population genetics with emphasis on basic mathematical and statistical models and techniques. The main topics of the course are
- Hardy-Weinberg population model, inbreeding coefficient,
- basic population models for the effects of mutation, migration, selection, and genetic drift
- neutral theory of molecular evolution
- elements of quantitative genetics.
