Health care, fitness and other student services

GFS – The Association of Student Unions in Gothenburg - belongs to all the Student Unions in Gothenburg. The aim of this organisation is to promote the common interests of all students, first and foremost within the socio-academic field, so that each individual student achieves the best possible starting-point for carrying out his or her studies in a way that contributes towards his or her development. GFS offers healthcare, finess centre, child care and legal advice.

Health care – Akademihälsan

You can turn to Akademihälsan with any health problems you may have during your studies. Akademihälsan is the students’ occupational health service. It acts as a complement to other health and medical services. It is free for students.

Fitness centres – Fysiken

There are two student fitness centres in Gothenburg, with a wide range of activities, such as aerobics, ball sports, gym, dancing, water aerobics, outdoor pursuits, and a variety of courses. As a student you are entitled to a student discount membership.

Child care – Krokus

Krokus is a nursery school for children from one-and-a-half up to six years of age, whose parents are students or doctoral candidates. Krokus is run with the involvement of the parents, and it is therefore necessary for parents to have Swedish language skills.
