Courses and Programmes

The University of Gothenburg has, as one of the major universities in Europe, a unique breadth in teaching and research. For international students we have several programmes but also a variety of single subject courses, that are taught in english.

When can I apply?

1 December until 15 January 
This admission round is open for all international students and especially those in need of a resident permit/visa before they come to Sweden. Open for application are programmes for autumn semester.

15 March until 15 April
This admission round is only open for students that don't need to apply for a residence permit/visa (mainly EU/EEA citizens) before they come to Sweden. Open for application are courses and programmes for autumn semester. Please note that there is no guarantee that the full range of Programmes is available in this round.  

15 September until 15 October
This admission round is only open for students that don't need to apply for a residence permit/visa (mainly EU/EEA citizens) before they come to Sweden. Open for application are courses and programmes for spring semester.
