The University of Gothenburg Study Scholarship will be offered for the academic year 2012/2013. The scholarship is funded by the International Programme Office for Education and Training, which is a government agency that promotes academic exchanges and cooperation across national borders. The scholarship is aimed at applicants who have to pay tuition fees for their studies at the university.
Depending on what programme you apply to, the scholarship will cover half or more of the fee for the whole study programme. Applicants to master’s programmes at the Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts will be offered scholarships that cover the whole tuition fee. The amount granted will be deducted from the tuition fee. Please note that the scholarship does not cover other costs related to studies, such as accommodation or study materials.
Scholarship offers are only valid for the specific admissions round – it is not possible to defer an offer to future admissions rounds.
In order to qualify for the selection process, you must meet the entrance requirements and be accepted onto the programme to which you applied. Scholarships will be offered to applicants demonstrating a high level of academic performance. The selection process consists of an assessment made by academic and administrative staff at the University.
The selection process will be administered during early spring, i.e. during the same period of time that the application for programme studies is processed. Notification will be sent at the time for the first selection in the second half of March. If you have been granted the scholarship you will be contacted via e-mail.
Please note that the deadline for applying for the University of Gothenburg Study Scholarship has passed.
